Chaozhou Cultural Park was formerly Chaozhou District Office of Tainan County and Administrative Agency of Taiwan Governor-general's Office during Japanese Colonial Time. It was also one of the major battlefields in the Resistance against Japanese led by Taiwanese Lin Shao Mao. Before turning to the historic preservation area, it was once used as the office and the residence of the Highway Engineering Agency. This place contains important Chaozhou’s historical memory.
Chaozhou Township Office has renovated the buildings, integrated surrounding resources, and revitalized the park into an area for tourism consulting, cultural exhibitions, and local arts and performances with support funds.
